

I read an article once, that was about vegetarians, but still applies to vegans. It said that, even if you never talk about what you eat or not eat ever, your presence makes meat eater uncomfortable, because it points the fact that they eat animals, and makes them question how good they are, if they’re doing the right thing, if they are inconsiderate, etc. So our presence makes them notice that they are doing something we consider is wrong, and in order to suppress those feelings, they need to “take them out” and blame them on us, and bashing us so their moral hypocrisy doesn’t show. :)
