“Look at yourselves. Some of you teenagers, students. How do you think I feel and I belong to a generation ahead of you — how do you think I feel to have to tell you, ‘We, my generation, sat around like a knot on a wall while the whole world was fighting for its human rights — and you’ve got to be born into a society where you still have that same fight.’ What did we do, who preceded you? I’ll tell you what we did. Nothing. And don’t you make the same mistake we made…”—
If Malcolm X feels the need to say that, then what the fuck have you done with your life?
I mean, these are people who have given up something for the greater good
They have willingly made their life so much more difficult for a cause that will never directly benefit them
While vegan super powers would be awesome, all we do is give and give and we ask for nothing in return,
maybe a little acknowledgement of how hard we’re trying or a little support
Some of us might want to talk to you about it, because one person can’t make a difference, but one person can spread the word.
Eating meat is perfectly natural but the horrible conditions that the animals are in are not.
Some of them can talk like they are better than you, but they’d probably do that with anything: grades, work, video games, etc.
I just can’t understand why taste and convenience is prioritized so much over what is right to the point where people who go out of their way to help these animals are mocked and put down for their efforts.
“I read about the holocaust in high school and it was really really terrible. I haven’t done any research on the reality of factory farming, but there’s no way it can be anywhere near as bad as the holocaust because that was really really terrible.”
